Funeral services were held Friday, Dec 15th at Buchanan Funeral Home in Pittsville with Rev James BENZMILLER officiating. Burial was in the City Point Catholic Cemetery. Clarence was born Dec 22, 1914 in City Point to Frank and Anna (BAUTCH) KANIA. He was educated at Bautch School in the township of City Point. He never married. He worked for the Green Bay and Western Railroad and then did building construction in Kenosha, Janesville and Beloit. His last employment was building construction at the nuclear plant in Zion, IL. Clarence retired in 1980 and moved to Black River Falls. He resided at Whitehall since September. He was a member of the Labor Union, AARP, and a former member of the Black River Falls Senior Citizens. Clarence enjoyed playing cards, coin collecting, and feeding the birds and squirrels. Clarence is survived by two nieces, Darlene (Julius) BOREK of City Point and Evelyn (Robert) HENCHEN of Greenwood; four great-nieces, Rita (Jerry) STERNITZKY of Greenwood, Jenny BOREK of City Point, Angela OSTROWSKI of City Point and Mary SWEICH of Granton; two great-nephews, Christopher (Sharon) BOREK of Greenwood and Roger (Sheila) SWEICH of Granton; three great-great-nieces and four great-great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one nephew, Bernie SWEICH, three sisters, Clara SWEICH, Verna DICKMAN and Emma KANIA. Buchanan Funeral Home, Pittsville, handled arrangements. Joan M.
