The Free Masons, of which order the deceased was a long and honored member, took charge and conducted the exercises in the usual ritual service. Mr EMMONS held many important positions of trust both in the lodge and the community in which he lived. He was a man who made lasting friends and bitter enemies, but it is a pleasure to note that his enemies were few and his friends numerous. A large number of his old time friends followed his remains to their last resting place and deposited them with that care and brotherly love that is always shown among Masons. May peace and everlasting happiness be his portion is the sincere desire of his brethren. Joan M.
