He was born February 5, 1917 in Chicago to Casimir and Mary (KASMIR) DAMBROWSKI. He returned to Poland with his parents when he was 4 years old. During World War II he served in the United States Army, serving from 1941 to 1945. He then worked in Chicago until he moved to the Pittsville area to farm in 1949. He later developed a pine tree plantation which included several ponds. He was a member of St. Joachim's Catholic church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7131 of Pittsville and the American Tree Association. Hank is survived by a sister, Lottie KRUPA of Poland and by his American family and friends including Mary PINNEY, Walt and Mary GRAF, Ward and Charlene IRWIN Jr. and their families, Robert PINNEY and his family, and special friends, Ted and Stella GABIGA. He was pre-deceased by his parents and one brother. Funeral services were held Wednesday at St. Joachim's Catholic church, Pittsville, with Rev. Jude Ndugbu officiating. Burial was in Corpus Christi cemetery in Bakerville with military rites provided by American Legion Post 54 of Marshfield. Serving as pallbearers were Steve and Brad MONTAG, Steve WALTON, Kyly POKALLUS, and Darryle and Dennis IRWIN.
