Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Friday at the United Church of Christ, Pittsville, the Rev Lyman NEWTON officiating. Burial will take place in Mound Cemetery there. Mr COVEY was born in Pittsville May 12,1885, the son of Mr and Mrs A L COVEY. On Sept 4, 1918 he married Mabel PARKER in Grand Rapids. In 1920 they moved to Port Edwards where he was employed at Nekoosa Edwards Paper Co. While there he served for 17 years on the Village Board, 11 years as a member of the Port Edwards volunteer department, fire and was a charter member and recording secretary of the Pulp, Sulphite & Paper Mill Workers local union. He retired from Nekoosa Edwards in 1950, having moved to Wisconsin Rapids the previous year. Preceding him in death were his wife, in Oct, 1958, a sister and a brother. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs Lilias SABOTA, and two sons, Robert and Roger, all of Wisconsin Rapids; a brother, Glen COVEY, Pittsville, and eight grandchildren. Friends may call at the Taylor Funeral Home after 2 pm Thursday and at the Church from 9 am Friday until the time of services.
