Wi Obits Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Wi/WoodObits/344 Surname: CLEVEN, LUNDE, LYNN ------------------------- A H LUNDE Obit taken from the Pittsville Record, Volume 1, Number 43, June 08, 1910, Page 6 Column 5 A H LUNDE, 1838-1910 A H LUNDE, who has made his home with his son Hans in this city for the past few years and who had endeared himself to everyone in the city for his unassuming ways and extreme good nature, died Monday morning from a complication of dropsy and heart disease. He had been in a weakened condition for the greater part of the winter but it was only lately that he had taken to his bed. Death came suddenly and he fell into the arms of his son Hans as he was leading him toward the bed. The funeral will be held at Oxfordville, Rock county, Thursday and the body will be accompanied from here Wednesday by relatives who are in the city. A H LUNDE was born in Norway, near Gustdal, in 1838. Here he lived the quiet life of the country for thirty years and served his time in the regular army of Norway. In 1868 he came to America and was soon after married to Miss Maggie CLEVEN who preceded him to the life beyond twelve years ago. Six children blessed their union, Hans of this city, Mrs George LYNN of Beloit, Oscar of Argyle, IL, Herman of Beloit and Tillman of Brodhead. Herman was at the bedside of his father when he died having been called here by his illness. All of the children except Mrs LYNN arrived here in response to the telegrams advising of the death of their father. Mr LUNDE had been a member of the Norwegian Lutheran church since his boyhood and has lived an honest, straight-forward life throughout and his presence will be missed here in this city by all who join in sympathy to the bereaved family.
