Wi Obits Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Wi/WoodObits/323 Surname: LAMBERT, LANDRE, LAPORTE ------------------------- Mrs George LANDRE Obit taken from the Centralia Enterprise and Tribune, Saturday, June 13, 1896, Page 1 Mrs George LANDRE (nee Virginia LAMBERT) Another pure, noble woman has passed away and another home is deprived of a fond wife and loving mother. Mrs George LANDRE, after a lingering illness, died at her home in Terry, MT, on Monday, June 8th, at the age of 26 years and 9 months. Mr and Mrs LANDRE and family removed to this state last spring, locating in this city, and from here went to Oconto. The climate proving to be injurious to her health, they returned to Terry last spring, thinking that the dry climate would bring a return of health. The maiden name of the deceased was Virginia LAMBERT, being a daughter of Mr and Mrs Henry LAMBERT, of this city. She was born in this city Sep 8, 1869, where she received her education. On April 8, 1887, she was married to Mr George LANDRE, and two days thereafter removed to Terry, MT, where they lived until their return here. Three children, all boys, have been born to them, and are thus left without a loving mother's watchful care. Besides a husband and three little ones, she leaves a father and mother, three sisters and one brother to mourn her loss--all that is left of a family of ten children. The sisters are Mrs J LAPORTE, of Rhinelander, Elida and Amanda LAMBERT, of this city, and a brother, Emile A LAMBERT, also of this city. Joan M.
