Funeral services were held at 11am Monday at St John's Lutheran church in Pittsville with the Rev T P BRADTKE officiating. Music was provided by organist Mary Sherwood and soloist Donna Lilly. Pallbearers were Eric and Allen BRUSH, Mark, James and Gerald PHILLIPPI, and James RAMAGE. Burial was in Mound Cemetery, Pittsville. The family was assisted by Buchanan Funeral Home, Pittsville. Henry was born April 6, 1919 in Elmo, Grant Co, to Henry and Caroline (KINTZLE) PHILLIPPI. He was educuated in Pittsville and married Mabel SCHWERSINSKE April 20, 1950 at St John's Lutheran Church, Pittsville. He served in the US Army in WWII, and was then employed at Consolidated Papers for 31 years, retiring in 1981. He also operated a dairy farm in the Town of Wood, retiring from farming in 1980. They resided in the Town of Dexter from 1985-94. After the death of his wife, Mabel, on March 19, 1994, he made his home with his daughter in Plover. Henry was a member of St John's Lutheran Church, Papermakers Union, and was an avid Packer fan. He is survived by one daughter, Bonnie (Randy) WALDHERR of Plover; three grandchildren, Allen (Cora) BRUSH of Rockford, IL, Eric BRUSH of Rockford and Charlotte (William) BELLARS of Rockford; five great-grandchildren; three sisters; Ethel RAMAGE of Antioch, IL, and Carol (James) LARSON of Pittsville; four brothers, Carl (Helen) PHILLIPPI of Pittsville, Robert (Donna) PHILLIPPI of West Allis, Ray (Carol) PHILLIPPI of Pittsville, and Donald PHILLIPPI of Marshfield. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel; two brothers, Edmund and Walter; one sister, Elsie VERGSVIK; and one granddaughter, Betty Jean.
