PETERSEN, 1914 - 2001 Marie L PETERSEN, 87, of Pittsville, died Monday April 16, 2001 at the Marshfield Living Center, Marshfield, where she had resided since February 10, 2001. Funeral services will be Friday at St. John's Lutheran church, Pittsville, with Rev Tom HAHN officiating. The organist will be Mary SHERWOOD for soloist Bonnie Joosten. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers and burial will be in Mound cemetery, Pittsville. Marie PETERSEN was born February 12, 1914 in the Town of Sigel to William and Louise (BREHM) KNUTH. She was educated at Snyder School in the Town of Sigel and Wood County Agricultural School, Wisconsin Rapids. She married Harvey PETERSEN October 26, 1935 at St. John's Lutheran in the Town of Sigel. He died October 11, 1981. They farmed in the Town of Seneca and in 1954 moved to a farm in the Town of Wood where they farmed for many years. Marie resided in the city of Pittsville for the nine years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and driving. Marie was a member of St. John Lutheran church, Pittsville and its Ladies Aid, and the Pittsville Senior Citizens Club. She is survived by two daughters, Diana (Arthur) KAZMIERCZAK of Lodi and Linda (Gary) JONES of Wisconsin Rapids; two sons, Harvey Jr. (Aneva) PETERSEN of Pittsville and Peter (Sally) PETERSEN of Pittsville; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandsons; one brother William KNUTH and fiancee Alice of Wisconsin Rapids; and two sisters, Charlotte WICK of Wisconsin Rapids and Myrtle (Robert) ROSENTHAL of Wisconsin Rapids. Marie was preceded ind eath by three brothers, Edward, Ray and Harold 'Peck'; and five sisters, Esther, Ruth, Lela, Clara and Elizabeth; and one grandson, Jon PETERSEN. Buchanan Funeral Home assisted the family. On that day the Angel came and took your hand, We cried as you left for an unknown land.
