A funeral service was held at 11am August 2, 2000, at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth. Pastor John VALLIE officiated. A memorial service was held on Saturday August 12 at 11 a.m. at Buchanan Funeral Home in Pittsville. Rev Doug A SCHALOW officiated and military rites were conducted by Palmer-Ritchie-Thomas Post 153 American legion of Pittsville. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Wisconsin Rapids. Robert was born on July 6, 1932 in Pittsville, the son of Clarence and Lenore (AKEY) HAUMSCHILD. He grew up and was educated in the Pittsville area. Following his schooling, Robert enlisted in the United States Navy. Following his honorable dischrge in July 1954, Robert moved to Milwaukee. On April 19, 1958, Robert was united in marriage to Patsy STILLMAN of Milwaukee. To this union, three children were born, Jeffrey, Keith and Robert Jr. "Butch". Robert worked for Ladish Drop Forge Company until 1971, and then worked for Artos Engineering. Robert and his family moved back to Pittsville where he was employed with Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. from 1975 until his retirement June 1994. Shortly after retirement, Robert and Patsy moved to Forsyth where he resided until the time of his death. Robert was a member of the local American Legion and the Rosebud-Treasurer Wildlife Association. Robert's desire in life was to fish, which he devoted most of his retirement to. He also enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Robert is survived by his wife, Patsy of Forsyth; three sons, Jeffrey (Kay) Haumschild of Vesper, Keith (Audrey) HAUMSCHILD of Miles City, MT, and Robert Jr. "Butch" of Mosinee; six grandchildren, heather, Bryan, Brandon, Elizabeth, Jacob and Christopher; three step-grandchildren, Melissa, Eric and Evan; a brother, Leonard HAUMSCHILD of Pittsville; and a brother-in-law, Dick PETERS of Elsie, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Rural Cancer Care Foundation, P. O. Box 1324, Miles City MT 59301. Joan M.
