Wi Obits Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Wi/WoodObits/261 Surname: FREDERICKS, GROSS ------------------------- Margaret GROSS Obit taken from the Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune, Monday December 31, 1928, Page 3 Obituary, Margaret GROSS Funeral services for Mrs Margaret GROSS, a former resident of this city, who died in Seattle, WA, will be held at the home of her son, John, 551 Seventeenth Avenue North, Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. The Rev J M STEVENS will officiate and interment will be made in Forest Hill Cemetery. The deceased was born in Germany November 12, 1847 and came to this country with her parents when she was five years of age. The family resided in Franklin, IA, and she lived with them until 1866 when she was married to Nick GROSS. After their marriage, Mr and Mrs GROSS moved to Buffalo County where they made their home for twelve years. In 1878 they moved to Meehan Station. After the death of her husband 37 years ago, Mrs GROSS came to this city to reside with her son, John, until last Sep when she went to live with her daughter in Seattle. She is survived by five sons, John, George and Will of this city, Charles of Milwaukee and Henry of Shawano; one daughter, Mrs Louis FREDERICKS of Seattle; 39 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Two sons Louis and Nick preceded her in death.
