Wi Obits Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Wi/WoodObits/277 Surname: BERARD, DURANCEAU, KROHN, LASCO, McKAY, NASH, PREGENS, PREGONT, REISER, RITCHY, TETZLAFF ------------------------- Aurelia DURANCEAU RITCHAY Obit taken from Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune, Friday, Sept 28, 1951 Aurelia (Duranceau) Ritchay 1875-1951 Death takes Mrs Aurelia RITCHAY; Funeral Monday Mrs Aurelia Ritchay, 75, who has been making her home with her son, Aaron A RITCHAY, 521 Eighth Avenue South, and her daughter, Mrs. Neil Nash, at Port Edwards, died at 7:15 Thursday evening at Riverview Hospital following a heart attack. She had been hospitalized since Monday. Funeral services have been arranged for 9 o'clock Monday morning at St Mary's Catholic church with the Rev. Joseph Tetzlaff officiating. Interment will take place in Calvary cemetery. Mrs RITCHAY was born in Lachine, a suburb of Montreal, Canada, on Dec 25, 1875, the daughter of Mr and Mrs John D DURANCEAU, and had been a resident of Wisconsin Rapids the past 30 years, coming here from Mellen (Ashland Co, WI). She married Arthur L RITCHAY at Wausau on Nov 22, 1897. He preceded her in death on December 11, 1942. She is survived by four children, Mrs Neil NASH, Port Edwards; Aaron A RITCHAY, Wisconsin Rapids; Mrs August LASCO, Bristol, and Mrs Sherman J McKAY, Manitowoc; two brothers, Peter and Marshall DURANCEAU, Wausau; one sister, Mrs Rollo REISER, Wayne, MI, 22 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. Friends may pay their respects at the Krohn and Berard Funeral home from Saturday noon until time of services. Prayers will be said at 7:30 Sunday evening by the St Mary's Woman's Club, of which she was a member, the Knights of Columbus and Catholic Daughters of America.
