Hello again everyone! I need some information on how to obtain a book by Dave Engel. I know he wrote a few genealogy books for Wood County. I need one he wrote called; SHANAGOLDEN, AN INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION. Are there any book stores in Wisconsin Rapids or area that sell his books? How would I obtain? Dawn and Rollie, I peeked in several of the Dave Engel books on our shelves. I don't think any of his books have been published by New Past Press, Michael Goc's press. That doesn't mean I'm not missing something. His book on Bob Dylan's childhood was "printed and distributed" by Amherst Press in Amherst. All of the River City Memoirs books and Shanagolden etc. were published by River City Memoirs--the address of which is Dave Engel's residence--so, in other words, they're self-published. Some of his books have been published in collaboration with the South Wood County Historical Museum (SWCHM), and SWCHM has copies of at least some of his books. Shanagolden is not one of the books SWCHM's website lists as having for sale, so I'd suggest contacting Dave directly at River City Memoirs, 5597 3rd Ave., Rudolph, WI 54474, to see if he has a copy.
