I am trying to find out where is the best source to obtain a marriage certificate from 1896. I thought the county seat would have it, but the web page for Wisconsin Vital Records, seems to indicate that they would have it there. I am confused? If the county of Wood has the copy, how much is it? I am looking for my great grandparents marriage record. Their names were (on the record) Idele Clairmont to Thomas LaBrot married 18 June 1896 in Wood County, Wisconsin. Can any one help me? Thank you. Pamela
