Services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Larry Wetzel officiating at Wisconsin Rapids Moravian Church, where she was a member. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Pittsville, at a later date. Mrs VAN STEDUM was born Feb 16, 1911 in Chicago to Andrew and Alida (JOHNSON) SAREN. In 1912 she moved with her parents to Veedum in Wood County. She attended Veedum School and graduated in 1925 from Wood County Agricultural School. She returned to the Chicago area in 1929 and resided there until 1975. In 1936 she was married to William HUCK. They made their home in Des Plaines, IL for 31 years. He died in 1967. She was married to Axel SVEAN in October 1978. He died in 1979. On November 13, 1981, she was married to George VAN STEDUM in Wisconsin Rapids. He died September 28, 1986. A homemaker, Mrs. VAN STEDUM was active at Lowell Senior Center and belonged to Wisconsin Rapids Senior Citizens Club, Order of the Eastern Star Rainbow Chapter No. 87 and the Sons of Norway Elvedal No. 5556. She enjoyed crafts, flowers and traveling. Survivors include a sister, Katherine STEWART of Wisconsin Rapids; a sister-in-law, Sophie SAREN of Dundee Michigan; five nephews, Michael (Trudy) STEWART of Almond, Victor STEWART of Wisconsin Rapids, Roger (Kay) STEWART of Onalaska, Andrew (Paulette) SAREN of Ypsilanti Michigan and Victor (Jeanne) SAREN of Deerfield, MI; two nieces, Sally (Dee) BURKHOLDER of Canton, MI and Sherry (Bob) BAUER of Montpelier, Michigan; and a number of great-nephews and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother, Axel SAREN. Taylor Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. Memorials may be designated in her name to the Salvation Army. Joan M.
