Dear Marlys, Do you know if this Brooks family is related to Morris Brooks (1841-1908) who m. Mary Elizabeth MERRILL 13 Apr 1862 in Waushara Co., WI? They moved to Wood Co. in 1874 and lived near Pittsville. Morris' parents were Alfred BROOKS and Deborah HASKINS. Morris also had a brother named Charles. Morris was b. in Chautaugua Co., NY and died near Pittsville. The names are very similar at least for Alfred and Charles, so there might be a connection.
