Services will be at 11 am Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic church. The Rev. William Menzel will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. FITZ was born Dec 12, 1903, in Washburn, to Simon and Stella SCHULTZ. She married John ALMQUIST in 1922. The marriage ended in divorce. She married Henry FITZ Aug 22, 1932 in Freeport IL. He died Dec 4, 1970. She was employed as a sales clerk at Germann's Jewelry and Johnson Hills. She was past president of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and a member of the American Association of Retired Persons. Survivors include one son, Robert (Ruth), of Wisconsin Rapids; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Frank SCHULTZ, Duluth MN; Clarence SCHULTZ, Washburn; George (Vera) SCHULTZ, Washburn; and Joseph SCHULTZ, Neenah; and two sisters, Berniece FINN, Minneapolis and Elaine (Carl) THORSON, in Illinois. She was predeceased by her parents, seven sisters (Marie, Frances, Dorothy, Ann, Margaret, Eleanor and Irene) and three brothers (Jack, Ray and Charles). Ritchay Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
