LaBARGE, 1914 - 2001 Louis F LaBARGE, 87, of Arpin, died Friday May 11, 2001 at the Marshfield Living Center. Funeral services were held Monday at St. James Catholic church, Vesper, with Rev. Chester Osowski officiating. Burial was in St James parish cemetery, Vesper. Serving as pallbearers were Kelly LaBARGE, Loren SMITH Jr, Jeffrey SMITH, Richard LUEBKE, Russell LUEBKE and Christopher LaBARGE. Louis was born January 8, 1914 in Loyal to John and Elizabeth (BLANCHARD) LaBARGE. He attended St. Anthony's Catholic School and graduated from Loyal High School in 1932. Louis married Agnes WEHRMAN January 18, 1943 at St Anthony's Catholic church in Loyal. She survives. Louis farmed in the Vesper area and worked for Preway in Wisconsin Rapids for many years. He then operated a bar & grill in Arpin until retirement in 1991. Louis was a member of St James Catholic church in Vesper, formerly a member of St Francis Catholic church in Arpin. He was also a member of the Lions club, the Arpin Advancement Association and had served as past treasurer for the Town of Arpin. Louis is survived by his wife, Agnes LaBARGE of Arpin; children, Joseph J (Kathleen) LaBARGE of Joliet, IL, Carol (Al) WALSH of Paris, Tennessee, Michael (Diane) LaBARGE of Marshfield, Irene (Richard) LUEBKE of Johnson Creek, Raymond (Kathryn) LaBARGE and William LaBARGE, both of Arpin; grandchildren, Kelly LaBARGE, Julie LaBARGE, Loren SMITH Jr, Jeffrey SMITH, Brenda KUHNLEY, Michelle LaBARGE, Richard LUEBKE, Kristine PFIEFFER, Russell LUEBKE, Elizabeth GULDEN and Christopher LaBARGE; six great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. Louis was preced in death by one grandson, Raymond SMITH. Buchanan Funeral Home handled arrangements for the family, and a photo accompanied this obit. Joan M.
