50TH ANNIVERSARY HOLMES-LUREN-DUCHAC-CRONKITE-GERZMEHLE-STELZER Francis and Lorna HOLMES, Wisconsin Rapids, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a surprise party given by their children on August 04, at Alexander Park, Port Edwards. They also had a family dinner on September 22, at the Hotel Mead. Duttee HOLMES, Jr., a member of the original wedding party, attended the celebration. The former Lorna LUREN and Francis HOLMES were married September 22, 1951 at ST. Patrick's Cathedral, Eau Claire. They lived in Eau Claire for five years following their marriage, then moved to Albuquerque, N.M.After eight years. They have lived in Wisconsin Rapids for 37 years. Francis worked for CW Transport, retiring in 1988. Lorna is a homemaker. Children of the couple are Deborah (Ted) DUCHAC, Schofield: Kimberly (John) CRONKITE, Port Edwards: Jacqueline HOLMES: Tammy (Steve) GERZMEHLE: and Stacey (Shawn) STELZER, all of Wisconsin Rapids. They have 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
