PHILLIPPI, 79, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, at his home. Funeral services will be held Monday at Buchanan Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Joe SCOTT, Troy SINGER, Brian and Kelly PHILLIPPI, Scott and Todd BORNOWSKI, and Brad and Jason STELTENPOHL. Mr. PHILLIPPI was born July 21, 1922, at Darlington, to Henry and Caroline (KINZLE) PHILLIPPI. He was educted in Pittsville and worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps. Carl was married to Helen WELLNER on May 10, 1944, at Wisconsin Rapids, and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1994. He farmed in the town of Wood for many years, and owned and operated Pee Wee's Honeywagon septic business for 20 years. He served as Town of Wood Supervisor for 24 years and as constable for 6 years. Survivors include his wife; eight children, Marcy (Lyle) SCOTT; Doris SINGER (Bill BARTELS); Jerry (Kim)PHILLIPPI; Judy (Dusty) RHODES; Cindy PHILLIPPI; Cathy (Jerry) HUBING; Becky PHILLIPPI (Rod SCHROEDEL), and Dale PHILLIPPI; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert (Donna) PHILLIPPI; Ray (Carol) PHILLIPPI, and Donald PHILLIPPI; and two sisters, Ethel RAMAGE, and Carol (James) LARSEN. He was preceded in death by one son (Roger), three brothers (Edmund in infancy, Walter and Henry) and two sisters (Elsie and Katherine). Buchanan Funeral Home, Pittsville, assisted the family with arrangements.
