Hello my name is Meredith and I am new the this list. I am researching the Peck surname. I am hoping some one can tell me where to find Grand Rapids and Nekoosa in the 1920 census. Thanks for any help, Meredith
Grand Rapids became Wisconsin Rapids. In the 1920 census it covers Enumeration Districts (ED's) 184-195. Nekoosa is located in the town of Port Edwards. It was originally known as Whitney's Rapids. (copied from the Wood Co. site at Rootsweb) I don't see it in the index of towns in the ancestry.com 1920 census. It is very close to Wisconsin Rapids, so I think it may be included in the ED's above. Nekoosa is located a few miles south of Port Edwards and Wisconsin Rapids. It is in Wood County. The McMillian library in Wisconsin Rapids Have the census records. The Nekoosa library has a genealogy section. Both libraries would be able to help. Grandma
