FREDRICK THOMSON Susan M. Simmons was born in Fond du Lac county, Wis., November 15, 1863, and died at her home in Stratford, Wis. April 18, 1918, age 54 years, 6 months and 3 days. She was married to Fredrick J. Thomson on her 19th birthday (1882) and soon after moved to Stevens Pont where they lived for many years and then came to Stratford, where they have since lived. To them were born three girls and three boys. Mrs. Thomson was confined to her bed for about three weeks. Her sickness caused her much distress, having heart trouble, nothing seemed to relieve her only temporarily. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors and this organization did her honor by their presence as a body at the funeral. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. The funeral was held from the Presbyterian church Saturday at 10 oclock a.m. where she held her membership for some years. A large concourse of friends were present. There remains a husband, six children, one Edwin, who is in France standing by the colors, and two brothers and one sister, who mourn her loss. ---------------------------------------------------------- OBITUARY THE STRATFORD JOURNAL, FRIDAY, JUNE 30, 1933 FREDERICK J. THOMPSON Frederick J. Thompson, age 80, passed away yesterday, afternoon, June 29, at 5:45, following an attack of asthma. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lillge, the latter a daughter of the deceased, were taking him to St. Josephs hospital at Marshfield for treatment and when they arrived at the intersection of highway 97 and county trunk B, Mr. Thompson passed away in the car. Mr. Thompson was born at Caldonia, Minn. December 15, 1852. On November 15, 1882 he was united in marriage to Miss Susan Mary Simmons of South Byron at Fond du Lac. The couple later moved to Stevens Point where Mr. Thompson continued his occupation, railroading. Later moving to Milladore. Thirty-two years ago the Thompsons came to Stratford, Mrs. Thompson passing away seventeen years later. For the past fourteen years Mr. Thompson has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Fred Lillge. Mr. Thompson is survived by six children as follows: Mrs. Andrew Weber of Stratford, Edward Thompson of Eden, Mrs. Fred Lillge of Stratford, Fred Thompson Jr. of Marshfield, Mrs. Elmer Nelson of Wausau and Herbert Thompson of Superior. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the Fred Lillge home and 2:30 oclock at Zions Lutheran church, Rev. T. E. Diemer will officiate. Burial will be made in the family lot in the Reformed church cemetery.
