Funeral services were Tuesday at St Joachim's Catholic church, Pittsville. Rev James BENZMILLER officiated, Lana Whitrock was organist and Mrs COURNOYER's daughter, Mary, was vocalist. Burial was in St. Joachim's cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were Mark COURNOYER, Ben COURNOYER, Justin BOEHM, Brad BOEHM, Chris JOCH, Travis SCHARA, Ryan COURNOYER and Chad COURNOYER. Honorary pallbearer was Pat JOCH. She was born December 13, 1931 in Milwaukee to Carl and Emily Clara (nee SMITH) MOH. Naomi was raised by her aunt and uncle, Helen and Walter WISCHULKE, since her childhood. She was educuated in Granton area schools until the eighth grade. She married Dennis F. COURNOYER at St Michael's catholic church, Hewitt. Following their marriage, Naomi became employed at Jimmie's Cafe in Marshfield where she worked for 39 years. She later worked at Casa Loma and then at Melody Gardens until her illness prevented her from further employment. Naomi loved listening to polka music and playing cards with family and friends, dancing, baking and cooking, and being with her family. In 1998 Naomi was awarded the Volunteer of the Year award for the Respite Center. She also did volunteer work for the Hospice Care Unit and the House of the Dove. She was a member of St. Joachim's Catholic church and the parish Council of Catholic Women. Survivors include her children, Richard (Marilyn) COURNOYER of Rudolph, Ronald (Joanne) COURNOYER of Pittsville, Nancy (George) JOCH of Stratford, David (Judy) COURNOYER of Arpin, Mary COURNOYER and Bonnie BOEHM, both of Wisconsin Rapids, Cindy (Scott) SCHARA of Seymour, Vickie (James) HILGART of Auburndale, Steve COURNOYER and Jackie COURNOYER, both of Pittsville, 26 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many friends. Anna MARTIN was a special friend of Naomi's. She was predeceased by her husband on Sep 29, 1992; by a son, Robert, on June 1, 1961; and by her parents. In lieu of flowers, the Cournoyer family will designate a memorial at a later date. Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home assisted the family. Joan M.
