"Wilma" STASHEK, 94, formerly of Wisconsin Rapids, died Sunday, Feb 11, 2001, at the Bethel Center in Arpin where she had resided since November 25, 1994. Funeral services were Wednesday February 14 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic church in Milladore, and Rev. John A. Wisneski officiated. Burial was in St Wenceslaus cemetery. Wilma was born November 6, 1906, in the Town of Lincoln, Kewaunee County, to Frank and Catherine (nee YOUNK) SNYDER. She married Cyril G. STASHEK Nov 28, 1935 in Algoma. Wilma was a 1926 graduate of the Green Bay Business College, a 1930 graduate of the Milwaukee Conservatory of Music and a 1931 graduate of the Algoma Teacher's Training School. She also attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She had been employed as a bookkeeper at badger Craton Company in Milwaukee and had taught rural schools throughout Wisconsin. She had lived in the Wisconsin Rapids area for 45 years. She had been employed at the Wood County Department of Social Services and retired in 1971 as bookkeeper at Bull's Eye Credit Union in Wisconsin Rapids. In the mid 1930's she directed community plays in Marshfield. She moved to Marshfield in 1987. She had served as president of St. Lawrence Parish Council of Catholic Women, Wisconsin Rapids, and had been active in 4-H groups and various other organizations. Surviving are her daughters, Marilyn (Douglas) BRANDT of Pittsville and their children, Mary (Mary) BRANDT and Kevin (and his fiancee Rebecca OLSZEWSKI) BRANDT and Kathleen (Donald) HASENOHRL of Pittsville and their children, Dena (Ben) FOXWORTH, Charles HASENOHRL and Donald (Theresa) HASENOHRL. She is further survived by three great-granddaughters and by the wonderful family staff at Bethel Living Center. She was pre-deceased by her husband on October 27, 1974; and her parents and twin brothers, Clarence and Frank SNYDER. Joan M.
