Mr and Mrs Fred LILLGE, the latter a daughter of the deceased, were taking him to St Joseph’s hospital at Marshfield for treatment and when they arrived at the intersection of highway 97 and county trunk B, Mr THOMPSON passed away in the car. Mr. Thompson was born at Caldonia, MN, December 15, 1852. On Nov 15, 1882 he was united in marriage to Miss Susan Mary SIMMONS of South Byron at Fond du Lac. The couple later moved to Stevens Point where Mr THOMPSON continued his occupation, railroading. Later moving to Milladore. Thirty-two years ago the THOMPSONs came to Stratford, Mrs THOMPSON passing away seventeen years later. For the past fourteen years Mr THOMPSON has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Fred LILLGE. Mr THOMPSON is survived by six children as follows: Mrs Andrew WEBER of Stratford, Edward THOMPSON of Eden, Mrs Fred Lillge of Stratford, Fred THOMPSON Jr of Marshfield, Mrs Elmer NELSON of Wausau and Herbert THOMPSON of Superior. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the Fred LILLGE home and 2:30 o’clock at Zion’s Lutheran church, Rev. T. E. Diemer will officiate. Burial will be made in the family lot in the Reformed church cemetery.
