ROGERS, 50, of Pittsville, was called home Friday, Aug. 3, 2001, from the Marshfield Center where she had resided for the preceding two days. Funeral services will be Friday at St. Joachim's Catholic church. The Rev. Samuel Martin and Rev. Donald Berg will co-officiate. Bill Allen, soloist, and Marilyn Ortner, organist, will provide the music. Burial will be in St. Joachim Parish Cemetery at Pittsville. Sheri was born Dec. 23, 1941, in Chicago, Ill., to John H. Sr. and Ellen B. (ZACKER) CROKIN. She married William A. ROGERS Sr. in Chicago, and they were later divorced. Sheri was educated at St. Aloysius in Chicago. She was employed as a telephone operator and then as a stewardess for Braniff Airlines. Following marriage, she was a homemaker, raising her two children. She moved to Pittsville in 1970 and later drove school bus for Jerry Zelabsky of Pittsville. She was also co-owner of Billps Mini Mart. Sheri then worked in the tire department at Fleet Farm in Marshfield and for the past 12 years was an account executive for WDLB-Marathon Media in Marshfield. She was a member of St. Joachim's Catholic church and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are her son, William A. Jr. (Theresa) ROGERS; a daughter, Denise (Allen) HERKERT; four grandsons; and her brother, John H. Jr. (Dee) CROKIN of Montgomery, Ala. She was predeceased by her parents. In lieu of flowers, at Sheri's request, memorials have been designated to Palliative Care and Hospice of St. Josephps Hospital. Buchanan Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
