I am researching my gr-grandfather's family, and have reason to believe there are some links in Wood County. His name: Levi Alonzo Magee, born 1870 in Ireland (don't know where, still looking for that one). Levi, also known as "Lon" or "Alonzo" (but rarely "Levi") lived in Adams County from around 1909 to at LEAST 1934. He married Charlotte Adella Cook in January of 1909 in Dell Prairie (just outside of WI Dells). They had 11 children before Charlotte passed away in 1934. The children (my grandmother included) were either sent to live with relatives, or the older ones went off to fend for themselves. From his 2 daughters, Lillie and Edna, I have gained some information, but not enough to help me in my search. I DO KNOW, however, that Levi remarried (I do not know her name, and neither do his daughters). Levi died in 1959, and I have been told (but have not been able to confirm) that he is buried in the state cemetery near Arkdale. I also know that he had a brother Rufus and a sister Lillian that were in the US (unknown about his parents or if there were other siblings).
