When about three years old he moved with his parents to Armenia, where they soon lost his father. He spent the early part of his life on the farm and attended school with his brothers and sisters.At the age of 20 he turned his attention to the lumbering business and was log-driver on the Yellow River. The last ten years were spent on the railroad. At the time of his death he was over-seeing a crew of men building a railroad near Glen Ullin, North Dakota. Mr. HADLEY was a good natured and uncomplaining disposition, although retiring toward strangers. He enjoyed good health until last fall when after a short illness, he spent the winter in Armenia with his sister, Mrs. Gunder LEBERG. He went west in April, taking the work of overseer of a railroad crew. Mr. HADLEY died June 10, in the hospital at Glen Ullin, after an illness of but a few days from heart trouble. Mr. Jerome RICHER, his stepfather, was with him, having received word of his illness, bringing him home for burial. Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Sunday at the Catholic church and interment made in the Catholic cemetery. Mr. HADLEY is survived by three brothers and three sisters: William COUGHLIN, Sayner; Michael COUGHLIN, Mount Green, Canada; Benjamin HADLEY, Duluth, Minnesota; Mrs. Mary FAHEY, Stratford; Mrs. Lucinda PECK, New York, New York; and Mrs. Gunder LEBERG.
