Wi Obits Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Wi/WoodObits?read=228 Surname: CASE, MARGESON, STRINGER, WILCOX ------------------------- Mrs Daniel CASE taken from the Wood County Reporter, Volume 64 Number 4, Thursday Jan 23, 1912, Page 1 Passing of Mrs Daniel CASE Every little while some old resident of Grand Rapids is called to the beyond, which acts as a constant reminder that the generations are passing on. Mrs Elizabeth CASE suffered a slight stroke of paralysis on Christmas night last, but she rallied some from this trouble and was quite comfortable until Friday, January 10th, when she suffered a second stroke which left her very poorly and unconscious. Mrs. CASE was at the home of Charles MARGESON, 1200 8th Street, where she was being cared for. She died at six o'clock Tuesday evening in the presence of relatives and friends. Mrs CASE will be remembered by all those who enjoyed her acquaintance as a lovely Christian woman whose presence will be greatly missed. While she was not a member of the Methodist church, she worshipped there and was a member of the church societies and a worker in the congregation. Mrs CASE, whose maiden name was Elizabeth WILCOX, was born at Coldwater, MI, on the 18th day of August 1841 and was therefore seventy-two years old at her last birthday. She was married to Daniel CASE, when she was sixteen years old in the state of IA, and they came to Wood County about fifty-three years ago where they have ever since resided. Mr and Mrs CASE were blessed with four children all of which preceded them in death, and Mr CASE having died in 1900. The surviving relatives are four grandchildren, Floy, Dan and Bess MARGESON and Roy STRINGER. The funeral of Mrs Daniel CASE took place Friday afternoon from the home of Mr Charles MARGESON, Rev H C LOGAN officiating. Burial will be made in Forest Hill cemetery. Joan M.
