I liked English and so being in her classes were fun. She was no nonnsense and if you applied yourself she went out of her way to teach. Merrill had a lot of fun teachers. My daughter worked at Evergreen when she was there. Even at that age she was very assertive and full of spit and vinager. I'm going to the library next week and I'll see what I can find out.
