Clark family. His first two children were born in Menasha and Rushford. Ellery Christopher Clark was born May 16, 1839 in Tyringham, Berkshire, MA to William and Mercy Ann Champlin-Clark. He married Emily J Priest 11-15-1860. She was born September 08, 1842 in Ogdensburg, Saint Lawrence County, NY. He was a Captain in the Civil War. In 1879 he was elected President of Village of De Pere, WI From De Pere, he moved to west to the Cadott, Eau Claire, or Chippewa Falls area of Wisconsin in the early 1880's. A 1896 newspaper article states: "Capt. E. C. Clark of Eau Claire has purchased a large quanity of time land in Tennessee, some sixty miles below Cairo, and is no preparing to remove his stave and hub factory from Cadott to that place. Everything but the buildings will go, including nearly all his old employees and their families. Children of Ellery Clark and Emily Priest are: i. Elizabeth A Clark, born June 23, 1863 in Rushford, Winnebago County, WI. ii. Carolyn E Clark, born October 15, 1872 in Menasha, Winnebago County, WI. iii. Harriet A Clark, born March 04, 1875 in De Pere, Brown County, WI. iv. Ellery L Clark, born June 22, 1884 in Eau Claire, Eau Claire County, WI.
