Surnames: Krippene Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CGC.2ACI/756 Message Board Post: The Weekly Times - Oshkosh, Wi April 3, 1897 An Old Resident Gone Herman Krippene, Who Settle Here in 1855 Herman Krippene, an old and highly respected resident of this city, died at 4:30 Wednesday afternoon. Demise was due to general debility. Deceased was a native of Saxony, Germany and was 73 years of ager on Nov. 26 last. He imigrated to America and in 1855 settled in Oshkosh, Since 1873 Mr. Krippene had been in the hardward business. He is survived by his wife and four sons, Herman, Jr., C. H., A. E. and W. E. Krippene, all of this city. The funeral will he held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, from the family residence, 50 Madison Street. Rev. E. H. Smith will conduct the serivces.
