Is the certificate in English? Does it say? Otherwise, the Danish Lutheran church in Neenah was, and is, Our Savior's. In Danish, Vor Fremslers. Same name was used for the Danish Church in Oshkosh. Both still have records. Meanwhile, the 1905 WI State Census has an every name index. I only have easy access to the Winnebago County index. There's a Jennie Jensen, age 14 in the 2d ward of Oshkosh. That's typically the old Danish area, near the original church. Her father is listed as Maurice, age 37, born Denmark, occupation tailor. His wife Johanna is 40, born Denmark. Jennie is the oldest child listed, and her birthplace is given as KY--Kentucky??? Then there is Johanna, age 11, born Iowa, Alice, age 3 born Denmark, and Myrtle, age 6/12 born Wisconsin. How's that for creating more questions than it answers! I looked for them in the 1900 census of WI, and found no Maurice Jensen as head of household, although I found a few Morris, so I guess that's the more usual spelling. If this is your family, it looks like they went back to Denmark for a while. The 8 year gap between children may be because the mom and older kids were back in Denmark?? I recommend you look for Jennie's marriage license and also check for her in later censuses--every one you can.
