It was never incorporated as a village to my knowledge, but there was a four-room school, currently used as a community center, etc. Never had its own newspaper; try Oshkosh, Omro or Ripon papers for obits. There is only one cemetery in all of Town of Utica. It is named Liberty Prairie. It was founded abaout 1847, and has been transcribed by the Winnebagoland Genealogical Society.
