    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: McCormick,Monahan,Mahoney Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/CGC.2ACI/633 Message Board Post: Attn.Judy and Rebecca. In Fond du Lac paper for May 22,1913 there is a story about my G’mother and the death of her cousin Michael Monahan in Texas. Also mentioned are two other violent deaths(read Train accidents) of brothers Thomas and James Monahan. Relatives listed as Anna Spalding,Sarah Freeborn,Frank Monahan of Oshkosh and Margaret Golden,Elizabet Hughley(Chicago) Mary Tinney(MKE)(sisters) and John Monahan of L.A.(brother). Using this clue I went back to 1880 Census on Familysearch.org and found the James Monaghan family(Same kids, different spelling) and living next door was GG’ma Bridget McCormick Hogan and G’ma Mary Ann Hogan-later Mrs David Mahoney. From this I infer that Mrs.James Monaghan was Margaret McCormick since this would make the Monaghan kids Mary Ann’s cousins. GG’ma Bridget’s obit(1902) listed surviving sisters Mary Levy and “Mrs.B.Monahan”. 1880 Census gives Margaret’s age as 62 and Bridget’s as 56. I thought Bridget was oldest but I have not found Margaret McCormick in New Brunswick records yet.
