My grandfather Herman Paul Kamke lived at 379 Merrit St. in Oshkosh, WI. This is known because he was listed at this address in 1885-86 and 1895 Oshkosh City Directories. He lived at this address (both years) with a John Kamke (relationship not established). I would like to know who owned 379 Merrit St, in 1895. Merrit St. has been re-numbered and the number is gone and the building that stood at that address is probably gone. I've been told that this information can only be researched in the office. Since I live 200 miles away this is not very practical. Could some kind person look into this for me. I can't believe that a taxing body would throw out this information. Thank you. Carl Kamke
