Hi, I am new to this list. I am looking for information on the family of James W. Taylor. His parents arrived in WI from England about 1834. James was born in England about 1828. He is my husband's great grandfather. I am looking for any information on James, his parents and siblings. I found James in Winnibago Co. WI in the 1860 Census Index. "James W, Taylor, Winnibago, Co. WI. Township about 4 miles west of Oshgosh." He married Mary Hepner in WI. By 1870 he was living in Cass Co. MI with Mary and 6 children. The 1890 GAR Census has him listed as; James W. Taylor, Private Company I, 27th Infantry, Clay Center, WI. He was living in Polk Co. NE, where he remained for the rest of his life. (I think) I hope to find information on his parents, & siblings (or advice on how to find additional information) on James and his parents. Thank you, Dawn Carpenter
