Herbert moved to Oshkosh when he got employment in the area and had many children, including my father, Clinton. Herbert's father, Hans Peters b. 9/1/1852 d. 12/19/1920 was from Cicero Township, Outagamie County and owned a farm right next to his brother, John's farm. Hans had many children. With his first wife, Wilhelmina Roefslen (whom he married in Manitowoc Co.) he had the following children: Henry, Charles, William, Hans, Lillie, Edward, Daizy, Walter, and Herman. He then married Rose Bahr and had Elsie, Minnie, Herbert (my grandpa), Luella, Lester, and Harvey. Hans and John also had two other sibs, George and Anna, but I don't know what happened to them. Hans was the son of Hans H. Peters and Christina (MNU). Christina went on to marry a John Rothmann in Manitowoc County and she is buried there. > > Any connections? > > > ==== WIWINNEB Mailing List ==== > ----------> ALL CAPS or UPPER CASE Letters Permissible Use <---------- > When typing a surname?
