Most of this was derived from the federal census between 1840 and 1930, and I have reproduced most of the relevant entries, thinking it might be of use to those whose families are connected with mine, who are all descended from Elijah Walker (VT, 1788) and his wife Lucretia Toothaker Walker (NH, 1788), and their daughters Amanda and Mary Ann. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CGC.2ACI/540.1 Message Board Post: Write or e-mail the Neenah Public Library and ask for an obit search. Neenah had its own newspaper back then--maybe even two. Go to www.neenahlibrary.org for address/costs etc. Neenah is 10 miles north of Oshkosh; Black Wolf is south of Oshkosh along the lake, so it makes sense that these are not New Elm folks.
