Our family lived in and around Marion, Waushara County, WI from 1849 to 1864. My g-g-g-grandfather and grandmother are buried in Marion Cemetery. Their names are Ezra and Venlora Cole and it is believed they were among the very early pioneers in the area. Our family has close ties to the John Leach Family that may still, to this day live in Marion. (John died in Feb, 1893 and Venlora, who was his mother by way of a previous marriage to Lemuel Leach, passed away in Oct, 1894). I wish to do some research about my ancestors while visiting Marion and Wautoma. Ezra was a member of the ME Church that I understand merged with the Free Will Baptist Church around 1858 (4 years before Ezra's death). Is there still a Church in the area that might have some records of Ezra's life? Any and all info you can provide me with regard to where I should visit while I am in your area in order that I might make best use of my research time, would be greatly appreciated.
