Dear list, I was wondering if there was any source to locate a newspaper obit for someone who died in Waushara Co., WI in 1903. I am looking for the obit for Dr. Harmon A. McWain who died 23 Dec. 1903. He was the resident physician for Poy Sippi in the 1890s and was also the President for the Badger telephone line in the mid 1890s that ran from Poy Sippi to Saxville. Dr. McWain was married to Emma Mathews who was listed as living in Poy Sippi in 1900. Dr. McWain was not listed as living with her at that point, however, he may have been enumerated somewhere else. I haven't been able to find him in 1900 at this point in my research. Harmon's father was also Harmon McWain and he is found in Ludlow, VT with Harmon Jr.'s mother, Amanda in 1900. Any help with Waushara Co., WI information on this Harmon McWain or the Mathews family would be a blessing. Blessings, Jill Watters Rains
