In the Spring of l9l3, my grandmother's youngest sister Mary Jane PRICE (b. Dowlais, South Wales l895) emigrated from the Rhondda Valley, S. Wales together with her eldest brother Stephen PRICE (b. Herefordshire England l879) and his family. According to a document I hold they "answered the call of the Metropolitan Mission to assist a Mr Ernest FORDHAM with his wheat crop of 640 acres near Saskatoon, Canada". A number of BibleSchool men from Waukesha, Wisconsin, joined the working party. Rev. Charles FORDHAM, missionary, was their pastor. Mary went to work for his family, I understand, where she was much loved. Shortly after, Stephen PRICE was asked to pastor a group of Church families that had settled in Seattle, Washington and Mary became a matron in various missionary homes eventually marrying a Rev. Ray SPOORS and settling in Lake Geneva, Wisonsin. She died in l973. Perhaps someone can connect - or help with local knowledge? Regards Diane Johansen Surrey, England, UK
