Surnames: Marczinke, Foster Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/TFC.2ACE/616 Message Board Post: I am still hoping to hear from someone who might know anything about Esther Marczinke, my paternal grandmother, who was from either Wisconsin or Minnesota. She gave birth to my father, Lyle Foster, in Minneapolis/St. Paul, and then abandoned him as an infant. It is my understanding that she never married Charles Foster, my paternal grandfather, and that she returned to a husband and children she already had in Wisconsin. I don't know if Marczinke was her maiden name, or a married name. My father was raised by his father and paternal grandmother, Constance Foster, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, until the age of 10. He never had any (known) siblings, and he spent the remainder of his life in South Texas. I have never known any more about my grandmother, and the Fosters in Minnesota were never able to shed any light. My late father never knew her or anything of her wherabouts, which was always painful . I am sure she is deceased by now, but I would like to find her family, which is my family, and come to know more about my ancestry.
