Jeanne, the Waukesha Daily Freeman dated Oct. 2, 1854 has a wedding write-up for a Harry Howard Vernon (son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton L. Vernon, 813 E. Broadway, Waukesha) who married Nancy V. Lindquist on this date. There are other articles about a Clifton Vernon who ran for the office of city clerk and he is described as a former inspector for a Motor Company, and veteran of the World War. Also Wisconsin Births index has a Clifton L. Vernon who was born in Brown County, WI on February 25, 1900.
