    2. FOR MARY: About St. Dominic's Cemetery (Section 4, Brookfield Twp) --- Located in St. Dominic's old churchyard, on the south side of CTH K (Lisbon Road) in the Marcy area. Cemetery established 1866, although earliest burial dates from 1847. According to the church's secretary, St. Dominic's was sometimes referred to as "St. Dominic's, the Marcy Church". The church was established as a mission in 1866, and as a parish in its present location (Section 9, Brookfield) in 1966. Address: 18255 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield, WI 53005. Church office telephone: (1-262) 781-3480. The Research Center at the Waukesha County Historical Society Museum has records for many of the older cemeteries. Waukesha County Museum Research Library 101 West Main Street Waukesha, Wisconsin, 53186 (1-262) 521-2859 Business hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Call ahead to confirm.) Last I heard, a $10 lookup fee is charged for mail-in queries. There is a small admission fee to the research center as well. Also, you might want to see the (partial) Obituary Index to the Waukesha Freeman (1859-1920). A copy of the Index may be found at the research center or at the Waukesha Public Library. The public library has all the old issues of the Freeman on microfiche back to 1859.
