I am attempting to go back over a cousin's research. In her notes was the family of John Berg was listed in the 1860 Waukesha census but I have not had any luck even looking at name variations or misspellings. Might anyone have an index of this? I have even attempted to look them up in the 1850 and can't find them but believe they were in Wisconsin at that time. John Berg family reported he was born in Milwaukee or at least in the area. John Berg born about 1808 Bavaria Maria (wife) born about 1820 Bavaria Children: Elizabeth born 1836 Bavaria John born 1841 Wisconsin (? Milwaukee) Margratha "Mary" born 1845 Wisconsin (Milwaukee) Sarah born 1849 Wisconsin Ellen born 1850 Wisconsin Henry born 1855 Wisconsin Katherine "Kate" unknown DOB Clara unknown DOB Not sure if Katherine and Clara were born before Elizabeth or between Elizabeth and John. I have looked at some different John Berg's but have not found the correct family. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions as I am at a loss. Per family John Berg, Jr left home at the age of 12. John, Jr and sisters, Elizabeth, Margaret, Sarah and Ellen all ended up in Kansas by 1865 so I would assume the parents had died by this time but am not even sure where to look in Waukesha county to find there deaths so hoping to find the census to locate township at least.
