It would be a help to have approximate dates for their time in Brookfield. I have not seen them on platt maps as landowners, but I just might not have noticed. Do you think that they came to join family? A church name -- perhaps in a baptismal record? -- would be a key to finding out more about their life in Brookfield. Prior to 1874, civil records can be scanty for the area.
