Werner and his sons operated a lime business from 88th and Grange in what is now Greendale, WI. The quarry and a number of the old buildings have been restored and are now part of the Milwaukee County Park System. As adults, August Tromborn had responsibility for the lime operations in Greendale and Leonard, his brother, conducted the sales and related business in Milwaukee.
