Hello all, I'm researching the surnames BLASING (BLAESING), KLOCK, LEISCHER, and KEEBLER in Elm Grove, Brookfield, and Waukesha. August Blaesing came to the USA from Hansfelde, Prussia in 1855 and was in Elm Grove by the time he married Hannah Keebler in 1858. Hannah's parents were Jacob and Elizabeth Keebler; I'd love to find more information on them if anyone out there has it. August's son Albert married Eugenia Klock. Her father was George Klock, who was a Lieutenant in the 39th WI in the civil war and was active in Waukesha's first fire department in the 1870s . George married Ann Leischer, daughter of Christian and Ann of Pewaukee. I know they had two sons who were inthe civil war, and I'd also love to find out more about this family. George Klock's father, James, came to the midwest from New York with his younger brother, Charles Klock, who ended up in Minnesota. I've managed to find out little about James Klock, and less about his wife, Marcia (Bull) Klock. I'd be delighted to share information with anyone interested in the same families. --Keith Blasing kmblaing@students.wisc.edu
