There is a book called The Scots of Vernon and adjacent townships, Waukesha County,Wisconsin, by Edward C. Wicklein. This was published in 1974. Wicklein was a minister at the Presbyterian church in Vernon and used the church archives. But be aware that there are many, many errors in this work. My grandmother, Margaret MCKENZIE, and her family were members of the church and early settlers in Vernon. She was not happy with the book because of the errors.
