I have discovered that my great great grandfather's brother, Carl Fred. Hinz, born 1817, emigrated from Pomerania the same year as my Johann Ferdinand Hintz, 1868, and that the two settled not to far apart -- Johann was in Wauwatosa and Carl lived in Pewaukee, according to the 1900 Waukesha County census. Carl's wife was named Pauline. The 1900 census does not fill out any children for them -- the number of children blanks are left blank, not even a zero, for her. They were in their 80's at this time, though, and I am thinking it is possible that they had children now adults not listed through the negligence of the census worker. Anyone related to this family, out there? Thanks. Penny Ziemer Ford Denver
